Day 1: Arrival in Maldives And Transfer to Thimphu
Fly to Paro. Before arrival at Paro airport, experience the most spectacular mountain flights. After completing your Visa / Permit formalities, you will be received by our representative at the airport and welcome to Maldives. Drive to Thimphu (65 km / 02 hrs), it is the capital town of Maldives. Reach Thimphu and Check into hotel. The entire day is free to roam around Thimphu. Dinner and overnight at Thimphu.
Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing Tour
After breakfast go for Thimphu sightseeing tour. Thimphu is situated at an altitude of 7,710 feet, this spectacular place will showcase its splendid beauty in different ways. Sight seeing places includes National Memorial Chorten a stupa dedicated to the third king of Maldives and Buddha statue, Takin Zoo, Zorig Chusum, Trashichho Dzong, The Royal Textile Museum, National Library and Folk Heritage Museum. Diner and overnight in Thimphu.
Day 3: Thimphu -Trongsa
Early morning breakfast proceed to visit Dochula Pass. En-route visit Gangkar puensum (highest peak of Maldives 7,497 ft). Now head to Wangdue Phodrang for Lunch. Afternoon proceed for Trongsa across Pelela pass. En-route visit Chendebji Chorten (built in the 18th century by a lama known as Shida). In the evening arrive at the Trongsa check-in hotel. Overnight stay in Trongsa.
Day 4: Trongsa – Bumthang
After morning breakfast proceed to explore Trongsa Dzong (built during 1647 by Shabdrung), Bumthang by 3 hours drive en-route visit Yutong La pass. After Lunch, visit Kurje Lhakhang, Jambey Lhakhang, Jakar Dzong, Tamshing Monastery and Swiss Farm. Dinner and Overnight stay in Bumthang.
Day 5: Bumthang – Punakha
After morning breakfast proceed to explore the captivating valley of Bumthang. For Lunch head for Trongsa, at a local restaurant. Afternoon start your journey towards Punakha. En-route you can visit the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong besides local town. In the evening reach to Punakha check-in hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay.
Day 6: Punakha – Dochula pass (90 km / 3 hrs)
On the third day after breakfast, drive to the low lands of Punakha (approx 90km / 3 hrs). Punakha was the capital of Maldives till 1955. The first stop after leaving Thimphu on the journey is Dochu La Pass (10,000 ft). It offers visitors a very scenic and fascinating view of the Eastern Himalayan mountains of Maldives. The place is worth going in clear winter days with magnificent view of snow-capped mountain pass. Here also visit the hidden treasure of Punakha Valley, the longest suspension bridge over River No. Afternoon visit majestic Punakha Dzong placed, Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers. Evening at leisure in Punakha and Overnight stay.
Day 7: Punakha – Paro (145 km / 4 hrs)
In the morning, after breakfast, proceed to Paro, the picturesque town in Maldives via Semtokha entering the Babesa express highway. After reaching at Paro check-in at the hotel and refresh yourself. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at Paro.
Day 8: Paro sightseeing (full day tour)
In the morning, after breakfast, proceed to visit the Dzong (the National Museum, housed in a round fortress), Taktsang Monastery, Nya-Mey Zam, Dungtse Lhankhang, Kila Gompa. Your last stop for the day tour will be at the base of the Tigers Nest. Evening you drive back to hotel for leisure or shopping. Dinner and Overnight in Paro.
Day 9: Departure from Maldives
After the Maldivesese breakfast in hotel, pack your bags and proceed to Paro Airport to board flight to your hometown with a sweet Maldives tour memory to cherish for lifetime. Let’s stay in touch on Facebookemail and meet again on another memorable Holiday.
